OMG! This book had me up and down with emotions. I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!. ** SPOILER ALERT** my favorite scene was the moment of their first kiss, I thought it was a great build up.This really should be made into a movie. I really like the interaction between the two characters. It seem so realistic and well written.I am going to buy an extra copy for my nephew. I don't think he's gay but I think he would learn about people's feelings and come away with an understanding of diversity.

More of a 74 page detailed plot outline than an actual novel. In the hands of a more skilled author who could write dialogue (there is basically none) and create three dimensional characters who evolve, this could have been an amazing story. What Robert Joseph Greene has provided to us is simply a basic pencil sketch (with no shading) rather than a full colour painting. I did like it, but "it" is very basic.

Life in high school has never been easy especially when you are not like all the others. Mr. Greene tells the story of two young men as they complete their final year of high school and find themselves. Barry Stillwater has just arrived in school and is introduced to Mark Thomas. Barry has come from a background and family tradition of sports and is a first string basketball player. As the two boys move through their days at the school they find that they share more than academics. The trouble a [...]

I would place this gem of a coming of age story on the shelf between the short stories of John Updike and the later books of Beverly Cleary. I mention John Updike because he wrote about social issues surrounding sexuality. Mr. Greene's does the same thing. Also, both have a solid, sure writing styles. This book reminds me of the books Beverly Cleary wrote for teenagers about issues impacting their lives such as divorce and being latch-key-kids.I think Mr. Robert Joseph Greene can look forward to [...]

The prose was not all that exciting. And I did find a couple of grammar mistakes which is cringe-worthy and I honestly felt like I was reading fanfiction--albeit original fic but still. With all that being said though, I loved the story. All of my criticisms are about superficial things, but the story hooked me in and would not let go. And I loved the characters and rooted for them from the beginning which is all I care about at the end.

This was my first gay book that I ever read. I was very touched by the story and having NOT been out during my time in high school I understood the storyline better. I went on to read other books by this author.

I have read Robert Joseph Greene short stories and really liked them. I got this as a gift from a friend for Christmas. I read it in one day. I thought it was a cute teenage love story.

Likeable enough, but for the money and time spent I'd suggest J.R. Lenk's 'Collide' instead. Even months later, I still can't get that book out of my head.
