Really enjoyed it. The plot never had a dull moment, and there were genuine moments of tension littered throughout. The world building was improved upon over book one, but it was done in a wall that felt as if it was part of the story, rather than an info dump, which was a big plus.Overall, good read and I will be picking up book 3.

I read the first book The Nova Chronicles: Survivor and almost immediately tore into the second entry, Pilgrim. I have to say that this one was as entertaining as the first. A quick and fun read with good action. It's nice that the reader gets introduced to a few other characters in this book but it still feels a little lacking in the depth of character and world building although maybe more will slowly unfold as the series progresses. The background of the main character has been touched on but not expanded. I hope to find out more in subsequent books.

Much betterIf you were watching for my review here it is. This is by far a much better book than the first knee. This is how the first one should have been. Some action followed by more action. Skip the first book and just read this one.

BetterThe first book was too 'woo woo' for me with Ancient Ones and mercilessly long descriptions of pain and weird time and voices stuff. This one had good action and human interactions. A bit glib: I like science 'sounding' explanations. But I'm continuing.
